Chapter Television by:J.A. Burror

Chapter Television channel 666 The story of Sage is one of the all time favorites. Not just because of her family and her Ruler. But moreover because this wasn't the first Sage has been in the historical archives of the Demon's Hell Dimension. They had been watching Sage though out the century's she appears in. It seems she wreaks havoc and disappears. Only to emerge once again to cause more havoc through out this planet in which she be choice stay's on. Earth's history with mass pit falls of turmoil have been both great in bring together the human race. But it seems she only thanks about the disaster nature of the attracts she forces on this planet. This is the reason her channel number is 666, on Earth in the Bible the three six's mean: (meaning of 666). So very fitting she should have 666 as her channel number to look back at her life on Earth. Once of her becomes to old for her taste. Or simply gets to old for her likely. She changes herself in to that of her younger self of long ago. Repeating growing up threw her first year in human form. By which I mean she would impregnate a woman. Picking a couple of both wealth and power to human's. Once in the woman's womb she would destroy any chance of that woman having another child. By this making her the only apple of there eye's and also by making her the only child ever. Her new found family would forgive any wrong doing that she might create. Both for her self and for others. Sage's life as a Goddess Sage first in for most was a Goddess as she believed. Living above all worlds became very tiring of an existences for her to bare it no further. What it was like for the Goddess above the worlds and how she became Ruler about Earth enough to condone visiting Earth for her self. As she was called by all who knew her. She was a rare Goddess in deed. Living the life of a beloved Goddess and yet having this secret desire. Burning to brake out of the normal endless amount of praise. Always with her subjects that gave her nothing less then the royal treatment. Every moment was set up, plans for everything. She desperately needed a vacation from her existence as a Goddess. So Goddess started finding out about different planets, picking one for her first ever vacation. Goddess 'I'm sick of being good, it's time to be bad and I know just the place to start'. As she told the (meaning the woman that she trust and closest adviser, also helps her dress and bathe daily) the (meaning the woman that she trust) 'what Goddess, is it true that once a God or Goddess does something bad they can't stop' Goddess 'you hear to many story's' the (meaning the woman that she trust) 'but what if they're true' Goddess 'they're not' the (meaning the woman that she trust) 'you won't be able to control your self' Goddess 'that's it, this conversation is over' the (meaning the woman that she trust) swallows hard and has her eye's wide open. Goddess 'I do not wish anyone to find out about my attentions, do you understand?' the (meaning the woman that she trust) just nods her head once up and down, always looking directly at the Goddess in the process of doing so. Goddess 'I have found where I intend to stay for the time and you will be the only one in contact with me, I will not meet with anyone else and you will keep me in formed of what is happening with out delay'. Traveling down to Earth wasn't heard of by any means from a Goddess of her level. So thought after, loved and admired by all that knew her name. She just couldn't take it any longer, the presser that came along with the expectation's of who she had to be. Goddess then walked past her and made her way to her studies where she had all the information on the Earth family she wishes to be born into as there only child. About the family the Goddess first picked to be born in to when the Goddess was coming clean about who she really was and why so left her throne for such pain Goddess 'I was given no choice of what, who I wanted to be' I just wasn't capable to make my own decision about what Goddess I wanted to be 'even if I wanted to be a Goddess, it's a lot of work' always listening others bagging you, pleading you' O forgive me I know I don't talk to you but when it seems I need a favor, and then its 'I'll change anything be anyone just give me this ...' no one of them asks how I am, or what I would like, not even about my day it is always about them' this is the main reason she picked Earth rather then to choose another world of being's that haven't occurred to her so. How did her place look/ where she lived as a Goddess A lavished plaice, filled with her thanes. The Goddess in the garden of Eden Once she visited a peaceful world and took refuse there. Goddess 'this place is perfect and so peaceful' she lets out a silly laugh 'not for long' how Goddess picked the family's she was to be born in what changed on how she wanted to protect Devan when she first saw her she recognized that Devan, this man standing before her was her Twin Flame. By the act of Devan coming in to interfering the Intransigent from Taking place. Knowing very well that no mere human would ever be able to kill her. And that she could choose to simply be born to another family if she desire's. But when she saw Devan stop everything to help her with no real reason but to help. Seeing the truth behind who Devan is. Knowing that Devan isn't human as well as she isn't. But still why would anyone for that matter wish to help save her. After all she had done threw the creatures and still she wondered why this man showed her kindness. "If I hadn't picked such a suitable family to have. I would have went the wrong way, in life-I would have taken what wasn't mine. And went into this world again as nothing more then I am." "There's a time to die, wash away the sins passed down." "At times you have no other choice to make, you must walk alone." "Still I long to be free from this world this I feel doesn't suit me."

How I add Healthy Snacking At Home & On The Go by:J.A. Burror

This is just how I eat and I will not tell you to do the same. I go off of the carbs with adding veggies with protein. This way my blood sugar levels don't rise. Raising your blood sugar level means, you are putting your body in fat storing mode And who really wants to do that to there body, there health? It's not healthy always turning into a yo-yo with your health.

I take a ice chest with me at all time when I leave my house. This cuts down on trying to find something healthy on the fly. And keeps me filled with the good stuff, if you fill your body with healthy foods first. You will have little to no room for the bad food. Even when they look so delectable. By keeping a ice chest in the car when I go shopping I can take out food as I need. I'm never hungry when shopping this way and it gives me more control. Then throwing anything and almost everything in the cart only to have to worry about the bill at the end. I don't like putting back what was first in the cart, it's just me.

When I forget my food I find it very hard to try to find anything I can have at a fast food place/ sit down restaurant. I allow think I'm sounding like a overly picky person when you tell them how to prepare your food for you. It's like saying: 'excuse me, I need to do your job for you.'

This part takes some time, but saves so much in the end. I wash, cut and bag everything into bags. This way all I need to do when leaving the house if get a bag from the refrigerator and cabinet and I'm good to go with my  ice chest and drinks.

When looking on the internet and then reading books on calories, I have found there's a big gap. In what is told to the public on how many calories are in foods. But I can't say which ones are right vs. who is wrong. I am simply not qualified to make that call.

Takes 3500 negative calories to lose a lb. I'm not trying to say to lose weight here. This is just what I do to maintain and yes at times I do lose.

If you are cooking with oils, Please take note. Oils aren't calorie free, if there is I haven't found it and would love it if it were so. Any oil added to your cooking will add in the overall calories of that dish you prepared for yourselves or your family.

These are just some of the ways I turn to. To help me stay on point.
Different times of the day I have a sweet tooth.
Want to munch on something crunchy.
Need something filling.
Also after I workout I find I become a eating monster, eating anything I can put my hands on.
By keeping these foods on hand and prepped in different ways, I lose the temptation. To go off my eating life style.

If you look at my recipes you would find I cook with the below list a lot. Going off the list to try out new things is a love for cooking I feel.

negative calorie foods:                I'm not talking about adding sugar or the calories would be different. I'm not saying that these foods come without Calories of any. It's your body burns more Calories in the digesting part of eating them. This makes a lot of people know them to be Negative calorie foods.

“Your body requires on average 150-250 calories to digest your food, depending on your weight, gender and activity level. If you eat something that has a caloric content of 100 calories, you will actually burn more calories than you ingest” (wisegeek.com).
Also taking the right above as (150-250 calories to digest your food). Wouldn't all the list of foods I'm giving now, all be like 0 Calories? When you add into account that digestive system we all got going on.

Based off this, as Negative Calorie Foods. I started to use some of them as my to do to snacks. I have no clue if you will take anything away from this. But this is just what I have done for sometime.

Apples=is 15 calories per 1, but it takes 16 calories for your body to digest it
 also contain 84 percent water
[try peeling one, whole, cut into cubes and put lemon juice with cinnamon on top and vanilla mix then cook in oven tell soft. The peeling is packed with fiber as well.]

Carrots=is 52 calories per 1 large, but it takes 65 calories for your body to digest it also contain 87 percent water
[I cut in strips put in snack bags and leave in the refrigerator tell I want a snack or am going somewhere]
* People first grew carrots as medicine, not food, for a variety of ailments. They are dated as over 5,000 years through historical documents and paintings.

The deeper orange the carrot, the more beta-carotene you’re getting
{I buy the bag of Carrots, the fresh ones you have to wash and peel yourself. The baby carrots I will not buy, Why? It would be so easy and at times they are cheaper. Have you noticed that after a time in there bags, there's a mucus white liquid in the bag.

www.insideedition.com/...are-baby-carrots-actually-dangerous
It turns out baby carrots are washed in a chlorine-water solution, but it's a safe amount approved by the FDA.
"The reason they do it is because they want to have it for safety. If they have any food-born illness like ecoli or salmonella growing in a bag like this, and someone eats it, that's a real concern," Hari said.
Next, they're washed before being sealed into snack bags.

And that white film that carrots take on after you open them is not chlorine, it's what naturally happens when carrots dry out}

*there's so much hype about this issue (what is that white stuff?). Some say one than then others say the opposite. I watched a TV show (How It's Made) and it showed the washing process. To be honest that's what turned me off. I really have never had a fresh carrot that I peel and wash myself turn white on the outside. So that's why I stay clear, myself.

Carrots are good in so many ways for your body health wise. Rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A high level of beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant to cell damage done to the body fibers present in carrots help clean out the colon and hasten waste movement known by herbalists to prevent infection. Crash Dieting by:J.A. Burror

1st-I am not a Doctor, I am not a Nutritionist. That being said, take it or leave it. This is information I have found throughout the years.

I started in my per-teen years to go on diets. My family didn't call them diets, they didn't want me to feel bad. Not really called diets, more of you shouldn't have those things and maybe cutting back on some junk food. They were suggestions about my weight. So I have had my share of crash diets that seem to go nowhere.

One was a tablet I bought over the phone. It was one of the TV programs that is late at night and states everything promise it can to draw you in. Yea I fell for it more then a few dozen of times over the years. I only took a tablet that you put in your morning cup on coffee once a day. That lead me to gain 20 pounds in 2 weeks. That was unreal to me. I called them up where I order the tablets and was told "you gain weight before you lose weight on this item". I stopped it, that was stupid to me.

Watching calories was a good thing and forever I'm a fan of doing so. I eat bags I made of Negative foods, but don't take the calories away from my daily calories. I just don't add negative calories to my daily calorie intake. And if I have a sweet tooth so I have bags I label. By doing this I know I only get to have so many bags a day, depending on what else I was having that day. I have had days where I get no treat bags. Other times I can have up to 5 bags. This all depends on how many calories each bag ends up being.

This is what I do I buy the normal size of chips, cookies, candy and whatever snacking treat I want. I have a big box of baggies I open. I open everything and based off the calories I place them into each bag, labeling the bags for calories and sugar if any. I try not to buy food with sugar as my own personal rule, but sugar gets added to a lot of things. Somethings you wouldn't think would have sugar, yep it does. I put all in a basket I have, you can put them were ever if you want to try this. I mix the bags and found it to be less boring, when you're not having to eat the same treat everyday.

I use to buy at a normal store my treats, chips and cookies. Things of that nature I would get for making my treat bags. But noticed big time I couldn't shop like that no more. One being it took awhile before different stores started to carry some of what I can have, other then fruit and vegetables. Going to special stores are, I'm not lying EXPENSIVE. Gluten Free to start with, yes you can find deals and I look for those. But I have a hard time paying 3-4 for A burrito, so I make mine. Half the cost and I really know what I'm putting into my body. Times have changed yes we all have busy lives. I am not apart from that statement. There are times I cave and have Frozen Meals, but I try hard not to. Also just because I love to cook and the idea that I can make something healthy for myself.

I hated this one, making a Daily Food Journal. I knew the added benefit of having one. But only really maintained one when my food allergy's started to present themselves. This left me no choice in doing so. I came to find a good list of items that were some of the cause of my worry. That and add in my Doctor at that time had me on over 20 different types of medication. That made my daily life a mess. Walking into walks, falling off of chairs, waking up with muscle spasms. And with all this my headaches never once left me. I had a rash Head to Toe, no joke I was covered all over. I wasn't taken off anything, just given more medication. This was the point when my family stepped in and took me to the Hospital. Which I was took to slowly wing off all the medication. Because they weren't really medications to be taken together. After I started taken a lot of this medication. My body's reactions to food, soap, left me in a dazed mind set. The reactions are still here and am told might always be. No rash when I stay away from different foods, soaps. So I stay away, not throwing up daily. So that is a added bonus to keep me on track, wrong way to stay forced. I know really I know that one very clearly.

A Journal can help you in determining what you were eating, drinking, how you were working out. On a daily bases you keep track of all these things. Giving you a more understanding of how your body. Not someone else body reacts but how your body does. This helps you maintain your weight, lose weight, or gain weight-whichever the goals you have for yourselves.

Dieting is funny, I say that because that word DIET is so not funny. It comes with so much under the label of that one word. I think it's meant to torment the public.

Simple: The more you eat, the more your stomach stretches to maintain your growing appetite to just eat. Learning that you can live, maintain, and enjoy yourselves without that need to eat all the time. Or without all the said rules places in every diet of what you can't, what you can. You need to just change your life style, the viewpoint of which you might have grown accustom too. If you look at it that you are not on a diet, then you're not on a diet. Only you are enjoying a healthier life style in ways that eating aids to.

I've been on some of the Fad Diets out there and stopped do to lack of noticing a difference in my waist size. And the weight scale seemed to forever hated me as a teen and in most of my 20's. I've went on diet pills that never worked, then I found a few but didn't work they way they were said to. I'd lose, but nothing like the 5-15 pounds in a month that was guarantee on the label.

Eating meals that you have to only eat what they give to you. Left me feeling hungry all the time. I found I was missing food, in that sense of the word. I wasn't satisfied on those types of diets. They left me very restricted. And I wasn't big on others telling me how to run my way of thinking. Didn't matter that it was only about food.

I had a co-worker that once went on a diet that she could only eat for hours each day. Anything she wanted, but it had to be within those hours the diet stated. This slows down the metabolism in your body, it might have worked to start with for her. But her health wasn't the goal overall she was striving for.

I was my train wreck, my bad choose left and right. I maintained yes, but never noticed losing anything by crash dieting. That is for myself, I have no clue what others it does to. I just know that it doesn't work for me. I need a life choice, like in school I always got easily distracted by other things. Same with diets, I always wanted what I wasn't allowed.

If you are always changing your eating habits. It's going from one high to the next low. Your body will fight back. Meaning your metabolism won't know what you are doing to it. Also adding to that same thought of your metabolism. If you eat under a number of calories for your body to maintain itself. Your metabolism will become slower the your normal, meaning the normal of what your own metabolism should be. I do get we are all different in so many ways, beauty, health, style, taste, belief. But health isn't a crash course to great health. It's meant to be a lifelong working procession for each individual.

I've seen a teen girl, change her eating habits for 2 weeks. Only eating cottage cheese and apples, maybe a salad without dressing and no meat. This leaves you with only in taking the calories of the cottage cheese. Depending of the brand, the low fat, no fat. You throw your metabolism into wack. Because the very day came of what she wanted to lose the weight for. She went out and over ate to make up for lost time. This means after awhile of your body not getting the calories it needs. Once it starts it will lead to a Fat Calorie Storing mode. Whatever you eat for a time turns into fat, until your body feels as if it won't be starved again.

My Healthy Drinking Habits by:J.A. Burror

These are a main for my drinking habit I have made for myself.
I bring my own drinks because I don't drink soda or different teas, sugar I try to stay far-far away from. I have reasons for that and they don't have anything to do with my waist line. I also don't drink carbonation drinks, some drinks have a under lining of carbonation in them. So if you want to stay away from it, be watchful.

Sugar is good and taste sweet and great, yeah I get that. But it adds to your waist and calories your body intakes. To much is clearly wrong to have in ones body, for health reasons alone. Sugar is a health food, true that as it may. I use Equal as a sweetener it has no calories and no fat in it. I use it in all my drinks. I however will never cook with it, tried to once and that was enough. I cooked the sweetness right out of my cookies. I cook with Splenda, white or brown. You can replace the white for Sugar, and the brown for Brown Sugar. Keep in mind if it's your first time eating something with Splenda, it does have a after taste that it leaves off in your mouth. It takes time to get use to the taste, I've been solo y on non Equal and Splenda for over 6 years. So I don't taste anything with it but it being sweet to the taste.

Aspartame Side Effects

There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption. It seems surreal, but true. How can one chemical create such chaos?
Aspartame dissolves into solution and can therefore travel throughout the body and deposit within any tissue. The body digests aspartame unlike saccharin, which does not break down within humans.
The multitude of aspartame side effects are indicative to your genetic individuality and physical weaknesses. It is important to put two and two together, nonetheless, and identify which side effects aspartame is creating within you.

Aspartame Side Effects

The components of aspartame can lead to a number of health problems, as you have read. Side effects can occur gradually, can be immediate, or can be acute reactions.

Aspartame Information:
Message Board Forum:
Think you are having an aspartame reaction? Join Dr. Hull's aspartame message board forum and communicate with others!
According to Lendon Smith, M.D. there is an enormous population suffering from side effects associated with aspartame, yet have no idea why drugs, supplements and herbs don’t relieve their symptoms. Then, there are users who don’t ‘appear’ to suffer immediate reactions at all. Even these individuals are susceptible to the long-term damage caused by excitatory amino acids, phenylalanine, methanol, and DKP.
Adverse reactions and side effects of aspartame include:
Eye
blindness in one or both eyes
decreased vision and/or other eye problems such as: blurring, bright flashes, squiggly lines, tunnel vision, decreased night vision
pain in one or both eyes
decreased tears
trouble with contact lenses
bulging eyes
Ear
tinnitus - ringing or buzzing sound
severe intolerance of noise
marked hearing impairment
Neurologic

Aspartame may trigger, mimic, or cause the following illnesses:
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Epstein-Barr
Post-Polio Syndrome
Lyme Disease
Grave’s Disease
Meniere’s Disease
Alzheimer’s Disease
ALS
Epilepsy
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
EMS
Hypothyroidism
Mercury sensitivity from Amalgam fillings
Fibromyalgia
Lupus
non-Hodgkins
Lymphoma
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
These are not allergies or sensitivities, but diseases and disease syndromes. Aspartame poisoning is commonly misdiagnosed because aspartame symptoms mock textbook ‘disease’ symptoms, such as Grave’s Disease.
Aspartame changes the ratio of amino acids in the blood, blocking or lowering the levels of serotonin, tyrosine, dopamine, norepinephrine, and adrenaline. Therefore, it is typical that aspartame symptoms cannot be detected in lab tests and on x-rays. Textbook disorders and diseases may actually be a toxic load as a result of aspartame poisoning.
Ever gone to the doctor with real, physical symptoms, but he/she can’t find the cause? Well, it’s probably your diet, your environment, or both.
Aspartame is the common denominator for over 92 different health symptoms at the root of modern disease. The Aspartame Detoxification Program demonstrates the most effective way to reverse disease symptoms is removing the underlying cause - aspartame.
I counsel aspartame victims worldwide and have witnessed nine out of 10 clients restore their health by following the Aspartame Detoxification Program. Begin with detoxifying your body of all residual chemical toxins from aspartame's chemical make up of phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol and their toxic by-products, and see if any adverse health symptoms remain. Try the Aspartame Detoxification Program, and within 30 days your symptoms should disappear.
Steps:
  1. Remove all sugar-free products with aspartame from your diet.
  2. Learn to 'read' your body. Begin recording any health changes.
  3. Get a hair analysis.
  4. Be happy with yourself.
  5. Detoxify.
  6. Restore depleted nutrients.
  7. Exercise and get plenty of rest.
  8. Eat 75% raw foods at every meal.
  9. Drink water, water, water.
  10. Get control of your life.
I designed this Ten Step Program to help protect your health and the health of those you love from being seduced by the sugar-free diet craze. Wishing you good health.

What can you do about aspartame side effects?

Set an example by changing your diet.
  • Tell everyone you know.
  • Talk to the schools and day care centers. Offer to speak at parent-teachers meetings.
  • Contact your local, state, and Federal government representatives.
  • If you see someone with a diet drink, ask if they have had any of the typical aspartame side effects.
  • Spread the word at your work.
  • Distribute the Aspartame Consumer Safety Network and Pilot's Hotline
  • Tell your doctor about the scientific research available proving the negative side effects of aspartame.
  • Register a complaint with the FDA, the FAA, the NutraSweet Company about aspartame poisoning.
  • Return all food products with aspartame, opened or unopened, to your grocer. Tell him/her the products make you sick. The grocer can return them to the manufacturer for a store refund. The manufacturer should get the message. So, will the grocer.
  • Spread the word on computer networks.
  • Publish articles in newsletters at your church, place of work, or neighborhood association.
  • Set a personal example for health and wellness.

Making your own Juice every morning can be a chore but it's fresh and you know what's in it, Because you made it.

Fruit Juices=can cause problems around the waist
they take out most fiber so with it out you're left with is sugar water
that some are even high in calories as well

Even when something may have a HEALTHY FOOD Label on  them. This type of Advertisement can fool the consumer. Into thinking just because it's low fat/ sugar free/ gluten free/ no calories, that this means they can eat it all. Not true at all, first this is what I've noticed in my time cooking and shopping for food in my life.
Low Fat=Doesn't mean it won't have a Calorie of High Sugar level. Just means that the Fat content is "Supposedly Lower" in that item.

Sugar Free=WOW!!! I love this one, because I find so much of items that say "Sugar Free". That are through the roof High in Saturated  Fats, Trans Fats, High in Calories as well. Sometimes it's healthier to opp to get the Non-Sugar Free. Just make a note that high sugar still isn't that great to have all of items daily.

Gluten Free=When my body first decided on its own to go Gluten Free. I ate like a Rabbit, only fruits and vegetables for about 3 months. I started to dislike meal time, I couldn't enjoy the same foods as before. It left me missing a lot of old recipes I loved to make in the past. But that was what I couldn't change, I had to suck it up and find just a different way.

No Calories=DOES NOT MEAN NO FAT/ NO SUGAR. It's the process that they make it so that the calories are non. Still be aware that what the label says and content of that item.

That Does Not Mean It's Always True. We all have different body types, styles of taste. Are health care concern in different from that of another. We might share some fights to lose weight, or fight off a nasty cold. But we are different, so if I didn't stress that point enough do a double read.

Labels all have context of what's in them, you would think or hope. Not always true, this way you have to be careful because you truly don't know what you  are about to put in your body. Some Company's don't add the ingestince to the package for recipe reasons. Also it's cheaper not to invest in added to much to the packaging of the product. This being said we find in the store a lot of food that may like great. But on the other hand we get questions around what it really is. So many people in this world can't have this or that in there diet. For whatever reason it maybe we all need to look a bit closely at are own health.

I drink Teas  They are great No Sugar/ No Calories/ No Fat of any. It's what you put in it, or what you buy it with that makes it change.

White=

{Known for generations in China, white tea is fast becoming a new addition to grocery shops and markets everywhere. Along with white tea's health benefits, you may see claims that white tea can cause weight loss. Let us weigh the facts before you go out to buy white tea for the purpose of losing weight.
Close to Nature
White tea comes from very young tea leaves plucked before the buds open fully. The leaves are only available for picking certain days of the year and that explains not only their precious status but their high retail price. White tea is also unique because it is not air dried like other teas, but is simply steamed. White tea has a good amount of antioxidants, which are cancer fighters.
Far From Certain
One frequently heard claim about slimming down with white tea is that antioxidants in the tea will cause your metabolism to speed up. Another variation to that claim is that, because white tea has caffeine, weight loss will occur. The reason is attributed to caffeine helping to burn calories quickly.
Another claim is that white tea burns fat. This claim is risky to accept, as it implies that you can eat a thick slab of cheesecake or oily steak sub and your cups of white tea will zap any fats that are absorbed.
Other than small, preliminary studies, no major research study has emerged to date that proves white tea alone can trigger weight loss. As for caffeine, it is quite possible that simply moving around quickly as a result of the caffeine boost you get from hot tea may be the real diet aid. White tea has caffeine, the amount of caffeine depending on the various varieties of white tea and cut of the leaf.
There is no single drink that melts away pounds. White tea can never replace a balanced eating plan that includes regular exercise.
Good News for Dieters
So is there any point in drinking white tea if you are trying to watch your weight? Yes, there are several reasons to make it part of your diet plan.
  • Less need for sugary drinks--White tea offers you the opportunity to enjoy a zero-calorie drink that is pleasant and refreshing from morning to night. The more you sip, the less chance you will fall to temptation for sugary drinks.
  • Less need for milk or cream--Another dieting plus is that white tea has a smooth taste that stands on its own without the need to add milk, cream or sugar.
  • Curbing false hunger--Having something refreshing to sip all day may take your mind off eating or drinking something just for the sake of taking a food break.
Number of Cups
While sipping white tea is a helpful way to enjoy liquids without the added calories and fats, some restraints are recommended. "Throughout the day" does not mean cup after cup in an unreasonable amount. Sip slowly. You may be among those who are more sensitive to caffeine than others. Since white tea has caffeine, try to limit your daily intake to no more than what makes you comfortable. http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/fitness/weight-loss/sipping-white-tea-to-help-with-weight-loss.html }

{1. Green Tea Contains Various Bioactive Compounds That Can Improve Health

Green tea is more than just green liquid.
Many of the bioactive compounds in the tea leaves do make it into the final drink, which contains large amounts of important nutrients.
It is loaded with polyphenols like flavonoids and catechins, which function as powerful antioxidants (1).
These substances can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting cells and molecules from damage. These free radicals are known to play a role in aging and all sorts of diseases.
One of the more powerful compounds in green tea is the antioxidant Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which has been studied to treat various diseases and may be one of the main reasons green tea has such powerful medicinal properties.
Green tea also has small amounts of minerals that are important for health.
Try to choose a higher quality brand of green tea, because some of the lower quality brands can contain excessive levels of fluoride (2).
That being said, even if you choose a lower quality brand, the benefits still far outweigh any risk.

Bottom Line: Green tea is loaded with bioactive compounds that can have various beneficial effects on health.

2. Compounds in Green Tea Can Improve Brain Function and Make You Smarter

A Cup of Green Tea
Green tea does more than just keep you awake, it can also make you smarter.
The key active ingredient is caffeine, which is a known stimulant.
It doesn’t contain as much as coffee, but enough to produce a response without causing the “jittery” effects associated with too much caffeine.
What caffeine does in the brain is to block an inhibitory neurotransmitter called Adenosine. This way, it actually increases the firing of neurons and the concentration of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine (3, 4).
Caffeine has been intensively studied before and consistently leads to improvements in various aspects of brain function, including improved mood, vigilance, reaction time and memory (5).
However… green tea contains more than just caffeine. It also has the amino acid L-theanine, which is able to cross the blood-brain barrier (6).
L-theanine increases the activity of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, which has anti-anxiety effects. It also increases dopamine and the production of alpha waves in the brain (7, 8, 9).
Studies show that caffeine and L-theanine can have synergistic effects. The combination of the two is particularly potent at improving brain function (10).
Because of the L-theanine and the smaller dose of caffeine, green tea can give you a much milder and different kind of “buzz” than coffee.
Many people report having more stable energy and being much more productive when they drink green tea, compared to coffee.
Bottom Line: Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce an effect. It also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can work synergistically with caffeine to improve brain function.

3. Green Tea Increases Fat Burning and Improves Physical Performance

Tea Plant
If you look at the ingredients list for any fat burning supplement, chances are that green tea will be on there.
This is because green tea has been shown to increase fat burning and boost the metabolic rate, in human controlled trials (11, 12).
In one study in 10 healthy men, green tea increased energy expenditure by 4% (13).
Another study showed that fat oxidation was increased by 17%, indicating that green tea may selectively increase the burning of fat (14).
However, I’d like to point out that some studies on green tea don’t show any increase in metabolism, so the effects may depend on the individual (15).
Caffeine itself has also been shown to improve physical performance by mobilizing fatty acids from the fat tissues and making them available for use as energy (16, 17).
In two separate review studies, caffeine has been shown to increase physical performance by 11-12%, on average (18, 19).
Bottom Line: Green tea has been shown to boost the metabolic rate and increase fat burning in the short term, although not all studies agree.

4. Antioxidants in Green Tea May Lower Your Risk of Various Types of Cancer

Green Tea With Pot And Cups
Cancer is caused by uncontrolled growth of cells. It is one of the world’s leading causes of death.
It is well known that oxidative damage contributes to the development of cancer and that antioxidants can have a protective effect (20).
Green tea is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants, so it makes perfect sense that it could reduce your risk of cancer, which it appears to do:
  • Breast cancer: A meta-analysis of observational studies found that whomen who drank the most green tea had a 22% lower risk of developing breast cancer, the most common cancer in women (21).
  • Prostate cancer: One study found that men drinking green tea had a 48% lower risk of developing prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in men (22).
  • Colorectal cancer: A study of 69,710 Chinese women found that green tea drinkers had a 57% lower risk of colorectal cancer (23).

Multiple other observational studies show that green tea drinkers are significantly less likely to get various types of cancer (24, 25, 26). It is important to keep in mind that it may be a bad idea to put milk in your tea, because it can reduce the antioxidant value (27).
Bottom Line: Green tea has powerful antioxidants that may protect against cancer. Multiple studies show that green tea drinkers have a lower risk of various types of cancer.

5. Green Tea May Protect Your Brain in Old Age, Lowering Your Risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s

Elderly Man And Woman Holding Cups of Tea
Not only can green tea improve brain function in the short term, it may also protect your brain in old age.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common neurodegenerative disease in humans and a leading cause of dementia.
Parkinson’s disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease and involves the death of dopamine producing neurons in the brain.
Multiple studies show that the catechin compounds in green tea can have various protective effects on neurons in test tubes and animal models, potentally lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s (28, 29, 30).
Bottom Line: The bioactive compounds in green tea can have various protective effects on neurons and may reduce the risk of both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, the two most common neurodegenerative disorders.

6. Green Tea Can Kill Bacteria, Which Improves Dental Health and Lowers Your Risk of Infection

Green Tea in a Wooden Spoon
The catechins in green tea have other biological effects as well.
Some studies show that they can kill bacteria and inhibit viruses like the influenza virus, potentially lowering your risk of infections (31, 32, 33, 34).
Streptococcus mutans is the primary harmful bacteria in the mouth. It causes plaque formation and is a leading contributor to cavities and tooth decay.
Studies show that the catechins in green tea can inhibit the growth of streptococcus mutans. Green tea consumption is associated with improved dental health and a lower risk of caries (35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40).
Another awesome benefit of green tea… multiple studies show that it can reduce bad breath (41, 42).
Bottom Line: The catechins in green tea may inhibit the growth of bacteria and some viruses. This can lower the risk of infections and lead to improvements in dental health, a lower risk of caries and reduced bad breath.

7. Green Tea May Lower Your Risk of Type II Diabetes

Iced Tea in a Glass
Type II diabetes is a disease that has reached epidemic proportions in the past few decades and now afflicts about 300 million people worldwide.
This disease involves having elevated blood sugar levels in the context of insulin resistance or an inability to produce insulin.
Studies show that green tea can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels (43).
One study in Japanese individuals found that those who drank the most green tea had a 42% lower risk of developing type II diabetes (44).
According to a review of 7 studies with a total of 286,701 individuals, green tea drinkers had an 18% lower risk of becoming diabetic (45).
Bottom Line: Some controlled trials show that green tea can cause mild reductions in blood sugar levels. It may also lower the risk of developing type II diabetes in the long term.

8. Green Tea May Reduce Your Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Powdered Green Tea
Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease and stroke, are the biggest causes of death in the world (46).
Studies show that green tea can improve some of the main risk factors for these diseases.
This includes total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides (47).
Green tea also dramatically increases the antioxidant capability of the blood, which protects the LDL cholesterol particles from oxidation, which is one part of the pathway towards heart disease (48, 49, 50).
Given the beneficial effects on risk factors, it is not surprising to see that green tea drinkers have up to a 31% lower risk of cardiovascular disease (51, 52, 53).
Bottom Line: Green tea has been shown to lower total and LDL cholesterol, as well as protect the LDL particles from oxidation. Observational studies show that green tea drinkers have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

9. Green Tea Can Help You Lose Weight and Lower Your Risk of Becoming Obese

Cup of Green Tea With Leaves
Given that green tea can boost the metabolic rate in the short term, it makes sense that it could help you lose weight.
Several studies show that green tea leads to decreases in body fat, especially in the abdominal area (54, 55).
One of these studies was a randomized controlled trial in 240 men and women that went on for 12 weeks. In this study, the green tea group had significant decreases in body fat percentage, body weight, waist circumference and abdominal fat (56).
However, some studies don’t show a statistically significant increases in weight loss with green tea, so this needs to be taken with a grain of salt (57).
Bottom Line: Some studies show that green tea leads to increased weight loss. It is particularly effective at reducing the dangerous abdominal fat.

10. Green Tea May Decrease Your Risk of Dying and Help You Live Longer

Glass And Bag of Tea
Of course, we all have to die eventually. That is inevitable.
However, given that green tea drinkers are at a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, it makes sense that it could help you live longer.
In a study of 40,530 Japanese adults, those who drank the most green tea (5 or more cups per day) were significantly less likely to die during an 11 year period (58):
  • Death of all causes: 23% lower in women, 12% lower in men.
  • Death from heart disease: 31% lower in women, 22% lower in men.
  • Death from stroke: 42% lower in women, 35% lower in men.
Another study in 14,001 elderly Japanese individuals aged 65-84 years found that those who drank the most green tea were 76% less likely to die during the 6 year study period (59).

What Are the Benefits of Fujian Oolong Tea?

Overview

Originating in Southern China’s Fujian province, oolong is a traditional Chinese tea whose oxidation level lies somewhere between green and black tea. When processed, these teas are either rolled into long, curly leaves or pressed into a ball-like form. Its oxidation process increases the levels of certain health-promoting compounds, which have unique anti-allergy, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory properties. Oolong tea also contains other components including catechins, flavonoids, and polyphenols that act as antioxidants in the body and contribute to the many health benefits of Fujian oolong tea.

Prevents Obesity

The polyphenols present in Fujian oolong tea may help increase metabolism and prevent obesity. These polyphenol compounds activate the specific enzyme that is responsible for dissolving triglycerides in the body. Caffeinated tea will increase metabolic rate, because caffeine is a stimulant. However, studies have demonstrated that caffeine and EGCG, a powerful catechin present in Fujian oolong tea, may work synergistically to further increase fat oxidation.

Combats Hay Fever and Allergy Symptoms

Specific compounds in Fujian oolong tea can help prevent hay fever and allergy symptoms, according to a 1999 issue of "Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry." Two catechin compounds, C-1 and C-2, have been isolated from Fujian oolong tea and have potent anti-allergy properties. These catechins inhibit the enzyme histidine, which blocks the body’s production of histamine and adds to the benefits of oolong tea. Increased levels of histamine in sensitive individuals cause symptoms of sneezing, itchy and watery eyes as well as allergic rhinitis. The January 2001 issue of the "Archives of Dermatology" reports that oolong tea also treats allergic atopic dermatitis.

Promotes Dental Health

Oolong tea has antibacterial properties and may help prevent tooth decay. According to a 2013 study published in "BioMed Central Research Notes," oolong tea can inhibit the enzymatic activities of streptococci bacteria and prevent it from attaching to enamel and gums. Streptococci bacteria cause plaque formation on the teeth. Experts from the Department of Dentistry at Osaka University also claim that this tea can help strengthen tooth enamel. Oolong tea is also a natural source of fluoride, with 0.1 to 0.2 milligrams of the mineral in an 8-ounce cup of tea, reports the Linus Pauling Institute.

Fights Free Radical Damage

The major benefits of oolong tea come from its antioxidants, which fight free radicals in the body. Free radicals, which are formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules, can originate from stress, ultraviolet radiation, and chemical additives in food. Once formed, they can start a chain reaction in the body. Free radicals are highly reactive and can cause serious damage when they react with cell membranes or DNA.

The amount of free radicals in the body increases as we get older and can contribute to the development of cancers, inflammatory diseases, and serious damage to hair and skin. According to a study in a 2003 issue of the "Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry," antioxidants present in Fujian oolong tea terminate the chain reaction of free radicals, which otherwise leads to the cellular damage that can otherwise lead to inflammation, cancers, and signs of aging.

Benefits of Decaf Coffee
By Susan Knowlton | Coffee Tea | Rating:
Almost everyone loves a strong cup of coffee in the morning. It's warming, it's comforting and it's invigorating. And when you're having a hard day it's one of the best pick me ups and one of the best ways to feel ready to go again. But is it good for you?
Well the answer is yes and no. Coffee is good for you in a number of ways and if you drink coffee then you will benefit from antioxidants and other positive ingredients. The problem though is the caffeine – and this in many ways is not good for you. While caffeine can boost your mood and help you to lose weight, it also has many unwanted consequences. One of the benefits of decaf coffee over regular coffee then is the fact that it doesn't include this caffeine and so won't have these same effects.
So what does this lack of caffeine mean? What does caffeine normally do to you that's so bad? Here are some of the negative effects of caffeine and things that it can cause.
Jitters: If you're sensitive to caffeine or drink too much then it can cause jitters causing your body to shake.
Headaches: Many people get headaches from drinking tea and coffee in large amounts and conversely from stopping drinking coffee once they have developed an addiction.
Nervousness: Coffee triggers the 'fight or flight' response meaning that adrenaline is secreted which is the same thing that happens when we are highly stressed. If you have a presentation to give and are nervous then drinking coffee just before might be the worst thing you could do. Likewise if you are of a nervous disposition already then it is not advisable, and if you are prone to panic attacks then this could even act as a trigger.
Addiction: As mentioned if you stop drinking coffee after you have grown accustomed to it then you can suffer from headaches and this is because caffeine is addictive. Becoming dependent on a substance is never a good idea, so finding ways to drink less is always a good idea.
Insomnia: Drinking coffee just before bed will keep you awake at night for the same reason that it can cause nervousness; because it triggers a fight or flight response and causes your heart rate etc to increase.
Heart Problems: When you drink coffee this elevates the heart rate and while this can be a good thing for exercising it, if you have existent problems then it is sometimes a bad move. For instance if you have high blood pressure then the increased heart rate is going to create more pressure pushing the blood around the body and thereby make you more likely to suffer a heart attack.
The first benefit of decaf coffee then is that it doesn't include caffeine and this then means that you won't get all of those side effects.
However that's not the only advantage of decaf coffee. At the same time, decaf coffee is actively beneficial to your health in many of the same ways that regular coffee is despite not including caffeine. There are plenty of things in coffee that are good for you other than caffeine and so you can enjoy many of the health benefits while still avoiding the effects of caffeine.
Here are some of the things that caffeine can help with.
Diabetes
Studies have shown that regularly drinking coffee decreases your chances of getting Type 2 diabetes. This is independent of caffeine, as one study found the same result with decaf. The reason for this is that coffee includes 'chlorogenic acid'. This is a chemical used in the blood in order to keep glucose levels under control. Those who drank six cups of coffee or more a day would be far less likely to suffer from diabetes.
This is particularly significant, because if you were to drink six cups of regular coffee then you would be well on your way to a caffeine addiction and you would find that your body took the toll of being in a constantly aroused state due to the impact of caffeine on the metabolism.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants are one of the most popular 'buzz words' used to market health foods and for good reason as they have so many profound benefits. The general idea behind antioxidants is that they combat 'free radicals' – which are the substances in the human body which cause damage to our cells. When this damage is to the surface of skin cells this can result in some of the visible signs of aging such as wrinkles, and when this damage breaks through the cell walls and attacks the nucleus of the cell where the DNA is stored, this can cause damage to the very genetic structure resulting in the cancer-causing mutations. By drinking coffee – caffeinated or otherwise – you take in antioxidants which will 'mop up' the free radicals and there by limit the damage they can do to your body. This means you stay looking younger for longer and you reduce your incidence of cancer. Don't get too excited just yet though as antioxidants exist in a lot of different foodstuffs.
Digestion
Coffee is able to improve the processing of material in the digestive tract and this means that there is less for the gut to work through. Studies have shown that the consumption of coffee or decaf coffee can help to decrease the incidence of dietary carcinogens (foods that cause cancer).
Women's Health
One study reported in Science Daily demonstrated that women who drank at least two cups of coffee (including decaf) a day were 25% less likely to develop heart disease. The exact way in which this works is uncertain (though it may be linked to the next point), and interestingly no effect was found in men. Another study showed that decaf coffee might reduce incidence of breast cancer in women.
Weight Loss
Caffeinated coffee is much better for weight loss than decaf because the caffeine speeds up the metabolism and so 'burns' through available calories much more quickly. However decaf coffee can help somewhat due to the fact that it is consumed hot. This causes the body to have to 'fight' the temperature in order to bring the body back down to its cooler levels and this means that it has to burn a lot of energy. In the Middle East tea is given out regularly despite the hot temperatures and the reasoning behind this is that the body will actually cool itself down as a result of ingesting something hot.
It's Not All Good
So there are many positive effects from drinking decaf coffee, but without the side effects that come from caffeine. But is it all good news? Sadly not, and like anything there are pros and cons to consider. Here are some of the negatives.
Caffeine: If you're drinking decaf coffee especially to avoid caffeine then you might be better off looking for a new beverage entirely. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that despite the 'decaf' moniker, some caffeine is often still in the drink. This is because the decaf process is applied to normal coffee beans to remove the caffeine and is rarely 100% effective. To be labeled decaf the drink needs to be 97% free from caffeine – but that means you may still be consuming that additional 3%.
Acid: Coffee is known to be high in acid and to stimulate gastric acids, and decaf coffee does this to an even greater degree. While this can be positive in some respects (see above) it can also cause problems such as acid reflux, stomach ulcers and heartburn.
Cholesterol: Though decaf coffee can be good for your heart (if you're a woman), it can also be bad for it (confusing I know). This is because it increases the production of LDL cholesterol which is the 'bad' cholesterol that can result in various heart problems.
Mouth Cancer: The constant consumption of hot drinks can cause damage to the cells in the mouth and the throat leading to cancer. While this isn't a problem on a small scale if you're drinking a lot of hot beverages and enjoying them very hot, then this can be a risk. Make sure then to let the drink cool a bit first, and to add lots of milk.
Note: When drinking decaf coffee there is going to be some variation depending on which brand you choose, as well as how you enjoy it. Shop around to find decaf coffees that have more health benefits and read up on your brand well. At the same time enjoy it black or with skimmed milk to decrease your intake of fat, and try to have it without sugar. Sweetener is little better as it can cause an insulin spike in the blood as it mistakes it for sugar which can over time cause diabetes and lethargy. Try to learn to enjoy the natural taste of the coffee.
