Number 1=I Do Not View That I'm On A Diet. Eating healthy isn't only to the ones that wish to shed some weight. It is my daily habit I have slowly, yes very slowly grown into and still learning to maintain. I also hate the word diet because there's so much that follows that around.
Like: I'll cheat today and start again tomorrow
If no one can see then I'm still on it
This won't hurt if I just had a piece
These were always what popped up in my head when I thought of Diet, Such a ugly word I would say out. But still I needed to do something, that is the point. I had to look at it as a Way Of Life, changing the way I thought about food was a big problem. I was one of those kids that grew up to be one of those people that let emotions get the best of them. My waist was proof of that.
I was a Emotional Eater
only didn't cop-to-it. I didn't want to be controlled by food. Com on Really, How could there even be something like that? No matter how I tried to always make up my endless supply of excesses. The Truth remained and I couldn't hide from it. Others saw and I covered up, but the teasing was bad. Even so I needed a reality check. Because whatever I was doing and thinking wasn't working for me at that time. When I owned up to myself that is when I started to truly wanting to make a difference in my health.
I know I've said this at times before, but will tell you again. I am not a Doctor nor am I a nutritionist. That want to make clear this is what I found that works for me. Everyone is different in so many ways, how can we all be the same. We are not the Star Trek, we are not in the Borg Cube and "the Collective" or "the Hive". We do not all share the same taste or thoughts of each other at all times. So how can we think are body's would all comply to act in the same fashion.
What's right for one can be wrong to another.
What one thinks is trash another will treasure.
What one dislikes another will see it as amazing.
And a delicious food to one another will not wish to swallow.
I found that a start point is a must, but falling back in your old habits can happen. Don't stress so much to give up the the desire for a healthier life style. When you have lived for so long having a mindset one way
changing it will be hard to take in. Like you were a child first looking to something new, exciting and a new world of wonder. It's scary Yes, but so rewarding when you can say with your own words: "I Did That On My Own". It's a feeling of great pride to know you have set your mind to do something and it's happened. By your own effort, not by anther's. *(I have nothing against going under the knife to improve what you have got, or make you feel better. Please don't take what I say to be I'm not for Plastic Surgery, because I do find there's a need for that profession. Sometimes the need is far more then just wanting to appear to be prettier, sometimes it's life changing because of how someone might have been born/ disfigured.) I'm not saying staying healthy is easy with all the bad food that is made so yummy these days. It's to tempt are sweet tooth, to make us feel so comfortable to get a bigger pants size over. All I can tell you is: "It is your life, do as you wish in your health". I'm not hear to judge or to tell you what to do on this matter at hand. If you are a dear friend or a loved one, I will be more pushy about you being healthy. Only because I like the fact you are around breathing in air and going around about your day. I wish you to remain here in this world as long as I can be gifted as to know you.
I have wrote about my Weight Surgery I had years ago, So if you read that. Then you know by this point I can't eat at all the way I use to growing up, My body won't allow me to do so. Meaning I get sick from eating to much off my plate, I get sick from different styles of cooking. I have found for me that old saying:"To much of a good thing", sometimes it's just ends up to much to handle.
Breakfast=I know some don't like to eat it, others can't find the time in there busy lives. You might be a total night owl and in that case your body's metabolism is in a different state. I know eating at all times of the day, just when you have the time. Do to your work schedule, a set meal time is quit laughable to say the lest. But this is a meal that can't be overlooked. If you want to loss weight. There is more reasons why you should at lest grab a fresh fruit, a slice of toast, reheat something from the day before. I get time is often the issue that plays the factor that lets you know Ya or Na to eating. Breakfast starts your metabolism going. You have to eat to keep in running right. Losing weight is your key, then Breakfast seems a good place to start out your day.
make a note or picture for yourself that lets you know
this is where I'm going
you have to think you will make it through the day and in a fresh clean way
I use thoughts to get me, I have changed how I look at food. I was scared to try new things as a child. I didn't like what I didn't know to be normal for those around me. But that was then, this is now and I try new things all the time. Thanks to my crazy way of eating. I found myself bored with the main healthy food I found. As I dug deeper I found what was a whole world I didn't think to invade with my taste buds. I have always liked to go to Chinese Restaurants and eat. But in my quest from Healthy foods after my Weight loss Surgery I starter looking into different Country's. Korea is a Country with 1 of if not the lowest % of Obesity. I started to get more curious about making the change. Didn't know if I would like the food or if I could even have the food. My taste buds were so messed up at that time and couldn't stand smells of different sorts. Looking up Recipes, finding YouTube to be so perfect in learning to cook. I have changed the way I eat to that of a healthy diet then I ever-ever had before. And best yet I love the food even with my crazy food limitations I still can enjoy a good meal.
I Am Still Learning About Health My Self. So if you don't agree that's more then fine. I will not tell you, you have to follower my diet lead. Everyone is different and so is are taste for anything.
I can't tell you why, still figuring it out myself with others. But for some time now I have become=
Gluten Free
Sugar Free-even more so then I was after my surgery
Meat
*(but I seem to be able to still eat fish in different kinds too, so I
often times will eat that in place when a recipe calls for Beef or
Chicken. Tofu is also ideal as well.)
Dairy Free *(please note
that when a idem might say:"Dairy Free" still it can contain Eggs/
Strange I know but I was taught that Dairy is Cows Milk, Eggs...you can
and I do eat cheese and butter and drink milk-for me it's a different
make up brand so to speak)
Vegetables are a test daily for me some days what I can eat is not what I could the Pervis day could take in
some Nuts Free
learning different ways to cook
trying something new might not be a bad deal
think before you act
read labels they can help
what foods to stay away from=
I will not eat in different oils, because some oils Do Not Brake Down In Your Body
that means they turn to fat chunks inside your body
oils I do use=
Coconut Oil-Brakes Down
ever hear about the buzz about the Coconut Oil Daily Pill-it helps you with your digestive system AKA it helps move your body's excess waste out
Olive Oil-Brakes Down
The main type of fat found in all kinds of olive oil is
monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs). MUFAs are actually considered a
healthy dietary fat. If your diet replaces saturated and trans fats with
unsaturated fats such as MUFAs and polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs), you
may gain certain health benefits.
MUFAs and PUFAs may help lower your risk of heart disease by
improving related risk factors. For instance, MUFAs have been found to
lower your total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol
levels. MUFAs may also help normalize blood clotting. And some research
shows that MUFAs may also benefit insulin levels and blood sugar
control, which can be especially helpful if you have type 2 diabetes.
But even healthier fats like olive oil are high in calories, so use
them only in moderation. Choose MUFA-rich foods such as olive oil in
place of other fatty foods — particularly butter and stick margarine —
not in addition to them. And remember that you can't make unhealthy
foods healthier simply by adding olive oil to them.
I have heard of a Diet where you put Olive Oil over a piece of Bread and eat it every morning
my Aunt was on a diet when I was a kid that she had to take a tablespoon full by month every day to lose weight, can't say it helped her maintain the weight loss when she stopped and started to fry in it in place thinking it would get the same effect
Safflower Oil-Brakes Down
monounsaturated fat may help reduce "bad" LDL cholesterol in your
bloodstream that can lead to plaque buildup in the arteries, narrowing
the passageway. Sometimes, the plaque can break open, causing a blood
clot that completely blocks the artery. This may cause a heart attack or
stroke
vitamin E, as each tablespoon provides 4.6 milligrams of this nutrient, one-fourth of the daily value
Safflower oil may be a healthy choice for diabetics to help manage blood
sugar, according to a study published in "Clinical Nutrition" in 2011. At the end of the study, they found reduced glucose and inflammatory
markers and increased insulin sensitivity, indicating that safflower oil
may be helpful in keeping diabetes symptoms under control.
I'm saying this yet again I'm Still Learning about Health, I believe we stop learn once we're dead. So I will never stop tell that time comes. The Brain is so amazing and furthering your sights is a great undertaking but well worth the effort.
